Can they be installed on any type of roof?

Yes. Skylights are mounted on top of a curb that is built into and flashed to the roof. This places the skylight above the finished roof so the type of roof is not a factor.

The exception to this can occur in some exterior applications (not over a heated space) where the skylight may be placed below the finished roof and drains off the roof at the eve.

I’ve heard skylights can be susceptible to leakage, is that true?

Our Skywall systems are designed to ensure that does not happen. We’ve observed no leaks even in extreme ocean front exposure to high wind and rain. Our confidence in the durability of the Skywall system is demonstrated in our 10-year warranty.

Is the installation complex?

It is not complex. It is a step by step procedure that can be done by our trained technicians or by an owner/builder that prefers to do it himself.
